Beck to Rewrite History

Musician Beck has decided that playing and recording his own music is simply not enough. He will be recording cover versions of entire albums in sessions no longer than a day! Supposedly these sessions will be unrehearsed, thus creating a sense of immediacy between the idolised museo and adoring fan.

Although a little cheesy, I think this is incredibly cool. It will no doubt do wonders for Becks music integrity PR. I am looking forward to hearing his (and enlisted friends such as MGMT) raw, unfinished versions of albums such as The Velvet Underground and Nico, which is first up on the list.

The albums will be avaliable on Beck's website over the course of one track per week... a great way for an aging artist to expand his fan base, says the cynic.

Sidenote: Note on that same link how David Lynch is now preparing to rape the music world with confusion as well. Kia Kaha Dave.
